Urad Dal Rice Khichdi recipe


INGREDIENTS:
  • Urad dal - 1/2 cup
  • Parboiled rice - 1/2 cup
  • Garlic - 10 pods
  • Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Water - 4 cups
PREPARATION:
  1. Take urad dhal, rice and garlic in a cooker.
  2. Add water. Add salt to taste.
    Close the cooker and pressure cook on high till 1 whistle.
  3. Reduce the flame and cook in medium heat for 20 minutes.
  4. Turn off the stove. Let it stand for 10 minutes. Open the cooker.
  5. Add the coconut and mix well.
    Ready to serve.
