INGREDIENTS:
- All purpose flour or Maida - 1 cup
- Water - 3/4 cup
- Brown sugar - 3/4 cup
- Cardamom powder - 1 teaspoon
- Oil - 1 cup
PREPARATION:
- Take all purpose flour or maida in a bowl.
- Add water gradually and whisk with a wire whisk to make batter without lumps.
- Add brown sugar and mix well.
- Add cardamom powder. Mix well and leave it for 15 min.
- Pour oil in a pan and heat it.
- To check if oil is ready, pour a drop of batter in the oil. If it comes to the top immediately, then you are ready to start.
- Scoop batter in a spoon and pour almost 2 tbsp of batter in the oil. Wait for it to puff and come up.
- Turn it over and cook until both the sides are golden brown.
P.S : If you want it sweeter, try adding more brown sugar.
