Chinese Bitter Melon Stir-Fry recipe


INGREDIENTS:
  • Chinese bitter melon - 2
  • Onion - 1/2
  • Oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
PREPARATION:
  1. Wash and slit the bitter melons.
  2. Remove seeds.
    Cut them into small pieces.
  3. Cut the onion into small pieces. Pour oil in a hot pan. Add the cut vegetables to the pan. Saute and add salt.
  4. Cover and cook in low flame sauteing occasionally until the bitter melon becomes soft.
  5. Add turmeric, cumin powder and chili powder. Add salt if needed.
  6. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes.
