Brussel Sprouts Stir-Fry

INGREDIENTS:

  • Brussel sprouts
  • Oil
  • Mustard seeds
  • Urad dhal
  • Cumin powder
  • Garlic powder
  • Pepper powder
  • Salt
PREPARATION:
  1. Wash the Brussel sprouts.
  2. Cut them into halves and further finely chop them.
  3. Heat a pan. Pour 2 teaspoon of oil and add 1/4 teaspoon of mustard seeds.
  4. Once they splutter, add 1 tsp urad dhal and saute till it turns golden brown.
  5. Add the chopped sprouts.
  6. Add salt to taste and leave  it covered to cook in low flame.
  7. Keep sauteing often so that it does not burn. 
  8. Once the sprouts are soft add 1/4 tsp cumin powder, 1/4 tsp garlic powder and 1/2 tsp pepper powder.
  9. Mix well and let cook for 2 minutes. Turn off the flame.
